Welcome to beader.org!

- September 4, 2005 -

We sent out a newsletter this afternoon informing everybody of the new features.

Those of you reading this will of course already know about those features, so I won't repeat myself here. :)

One small update: you may have noticed the donation button on the sidebar to the left.

You are, of course, not required to make use of it, as beader.org will always be a free site, but any help we can get with our mounting bandwidth costs would be greatly appreciated.

As an added incentive, users who make donations will be have no advertisements displayed on the site for life (as long as you're logged in)! Simply include your beader.org username with your donation and we'll set it up for you!

Also, we will display your username, as well as the link of your choice on this page for the world to see! Include this info with your donation as well, if you'd like a link.

We've added some new features to the bead designer, including a larger grid size as per popular request.

Take it for a spin and let us know what you think!

We've updated the bead pattern designer again, adding 2 new stitch types: brick stitch and peyote stitch.

There are 3 new buttons to switch between the stitches. If they aren't appearing, hit 'reload' in your browser.

Enjoy!

We've made significant updates to the bead pattern designer, after recieving many great suggestions from you.

Changes include:

* Flood fill tool has been added!

* Eraser tool has been added!

* Holding the control key when clicking on a bead will copy the color of that bead

If you have comments or suggestions, feel free to email us.

We've put a lot of work into this project, and hope to establish ourselves as a premier community for bead artists.

Expect many changes over the next while, including the addition of different pattern styles to the designer. We're also planning to launch a forum in the coming weeks, as well as make the tutorial section live. We welcome tutorial suggestions and submissions, send us your ideas.

Enjoy your visit and make sure to check back during the coming weeks, as we have many surprises in store!
